During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, most of us lost electricity and it was really a nuisance but in the grand scheme was really nothing compared to what others endured. We were contacted by a family that has a one year old with Down Syndrome who recently had open heart surgery and lost their power. They were in the local school but were asked to leave when classes were resuming. A shelter would not due to having to keep Jack away from a lot of germs. After a little searching, we were able to purchase a generator and happen to have gas because our generator stopped working and delivered this on monday. Now Jack is able to stay at home and receive the medicines he needs and stay warm.
